Fiat timing belt interval

You will need to know your vehicle’s engine size to use this table. Once you know, you can determine your Fiat timing belt interval by using the first table and the reference key. Be sure to look at the second table to see whether or not the engine is interference-fit.

1.3L (Air Pump & Camshaft) Replace Every 36,000 Miles{4}
1.5L Replace Every 30,000 Miles{4}
1.6L Replace Every 25,000 Miles or 24 Months{4}
1.8L {4}{5}
2.0L Replace Every 30,000 Miles{4}

Interference/non-interference

1.3L, 1.5L, 1.6L, 1.8L & 2.0L Interference

Reference key

{4} – Timing belt must be replaced any time tension is relieved.

{5} – On 1974–77 models, replace at 25,000 mile intervals or every 24 months. On 1978 models, replace at 25,000 mile intervals.
